Daisy is approximately 6 years old, and she came to SEVA GRREAT in February 2019 from a rural NC shelter. Shortly after her arrival, it was clear she needed our help.
Daisy had a large mammary mass that needed to be removed, and thankfully it was benign. But she was also heartworm positive, and had a prolonged recovery after her difficult treatment. Sweet Daisy took it all in stride, and when recovered she was ready for the next step - her dental issues. She had multiple teeth extracted due to severe wear and decay, and felt much better. Yet throughout her stay, it was becoming apparent that Daisy also had significant orthopedic issues starting to cause her discomfort. She has arthritis in her legs and shoulders, as well as a bulging disk and spinal stenosis at the base of her neck. She takes several medications and has recently started a course of rehabiltative therapy at PAWS. Because of her multiple medical issues and lengthy time in foster care, we felt it would be best for Daisy to remain with her dedicated foster family as one of our forever fosters.
