In Our Care
These dogs are currently in one of our loving foster homes until ready for adoption. Our dogs come to SEVA GRREAT from owners who can no longer care for them, local shelters, or even from Turkey or China thanks to our international rescue partners. Their time in foster care can vary from weeks to months, depending on the dogs’ medical needs. Some need additional time to work through other behavioral issues. When they are available for adoption, those families on our approved waiting list will be notified. We work tirelessly to find the perfect forever home for each golden in our care.
Buttercup is a 3 year old golden mix from a rural shelter. She loves attention from her humans and always wants to be with you. She loves going for walks and chasing tennis balls. She hasn't been well-socialized with other dogs, so needs to be the only dog in the household at this point.
Lacy is 5-6 years old and recently arrived from the SPCA. She was previously an outdoor dog and is learning all about the comforts of home. She is housebroken and walks great on leash with a gentle leader. She is heartworm positive and will need treatment before she is adopted. She is available as a "foster to adopt" - her family would foster her during the heartworm treatment with medical expenses covered by the rescue.
Levi is a 5 year old from a rural shelter, abandoned after his owners moved. He was very fearful and unsocialized, but is making progress every day. With lots of TLC and training, he is learning to trust and enjoy the comforts of home. He is still receiving veterinary care for a variety of medical issues but is feeling much better. We hope he will be available for adoption in the coming months as he continues to feel more secure.
Lucy is 9 years old and recently arrived to the rescue. She is super sweet and full of energy for an older gal. She was treated for some allergies and is MUCH improved! Lucy loves people but tends to get nervous around other dogs. While we feel she may be happiest as an "only" dog, she may also do well with another large dog with mellow temperament. Lucy is now available for adoption, so please contact us if you are interested in this sweet girl.
Myrtle aka "Winnie" is one of the "South Carolina Nine", recently rescued from a puppy mill in SC. All of the SC dogs are very shy and fearful. She is very slowly making progress and we hope she'll be ready for adoption soon.
Saylor is just over a year old and came from a local shelter. She is full of energy but also has a timid side. Saylor is a quick learner and working on her basic manners. Saylor is currently available for adoption and has adoption visits pending.
