Many are familiar with Annabelle, Chewy, and Yogi, the senior trio whose owner fell on hard times and became homeless. When he could no longer keep the trio, they came to us in August 2019 and went into a foster home that was willing to keep all three together.
Unfortunately, two (Annabelle and Yogi) have now crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2020 and 2022 respectively. Chewy (age 13) remains in his foster home. Chewy is a skilled counter surfer and, if his family forgets, will clear anything left out on the kitchen counters or side tables. He is very attached to his foster mom.
He has had some medical issues common to goldens and seniors like ear and respiratory infections but overall has been well. The boys accepted Annabelle’s passing and now Chewy will do his best to live for the first time without his mother and brother. He continues to be loved by his foster parents and to share his life with Emmy, the foster’s adopted Turkey dog. His foster mom says it feels strange to have only two dogs — they had five after the trio joined the family.
