Interaction with dogs: Does great with other dogs.

Interaction with cats: Does fine with cats.

Interaction with children: Does great with young children.

Physical fence required? Yes. Until he is further trained. He is very fast.

Is physical fence an absolute requirement, or flexible? I would say requirement. I have tried a 20 foot leash but he just wants to run.

How many hours are they able to be left alone? 6-8

Able to climb stairs? Yes

Health concerns: All health concerns have been addressed and treated.

What basic commands are known? Reliable or still learning? Sit is pretty reliable, pretty good with down, learning leave it well, decent with come.

How does he or she walk on a leash, and what do you use (collar, harness, etc.)? I use a collar. He prefers to run around than go on a walk. He tends to chew on the leash or try to carry it himself.

In need of obedience training? Yes. Since he was abandoned at a very young age and had to fend for himself on the streets for several weeks, he has a lot of play biting issues. They are a lot better than they were, but I think working with a trainer in person would be great for him.

Personality and additional information: He is super lovey and loves to give kisses and be held. When he gets overly excited, he starts to bite, but if you distract him with treats or a squeaky toy his attention immediately turns. Loves to always be where you are and loves to touch you. Is used to car rides, but will try to crawl out of the seat cover. Has gotten along with every dog and cat he has met. Does well with strangers. Will bark if he doesn’t want to be in the crate anymore, but does not bark when people knock on the door. Is crate trained and will stay in there for 8-9 hours at night. Potty training is about 75 % of the way there. I always take him outside immediately when taking him out of his crate. If he is playing a lot, stop him to go outside so he does not pee inside. I think he would do well with a family with or without other dogs. He loves attention.
