Cinnamon became a part of the SEVA family in April 2025 when Cumberland County Animal Shelter reached out to see if we could help. This sweet golden mix had been picked up as a stray and put on hold, but no one came to claim her. As a senior, probably around 11 or 12 at that time, the shelter felt she would be better off with a rescue as adoption possibilities there were slim. Cinnamon was placed in a forever foster home in the company of a loving Mom and three siblings. Her impeccable manners impressed everyone, and she contentedly enjoys receiving medication each day to ease arthritic discomfort and being monitored for tumor growth. Cinnamon is also lovingly referred to as a “chocolate retriever” not because she might be mixed with chocolate Lab but because she once sneakily ate an entire bag of Dove peanut butter dark chocolate with no medical issues. Her foster says she is the boss of the household!
